Historical European Martial Arts
The Academia della Spada, a school for the noble art and science of defense, is dedicated to reviving and maintaining the historical martial traditions of Western Europe. We do this through dedicated research, practice, and proper application of both theory and technique. Though we strive to faithfully reconstruct the historical fencing systems from their original treatises, we are equally influenced by the living wisdom of today’s maestros and instructors.
4W 2010
The Western Washington Western Martial Arts Workshop (4W) has been the largest and most comprehensive workshop on the west coast dedicated to the instruction of historical & classical European martial arts. From wrestling and dagger to greatsword and bayonet, 4W has been bringing you the finest instructors from across the country.
